Amaseffer - Slaves for Life

Comentário: Trago à vocês o único trabalho até então dessa incrível banda com uma veia altamente progressiva e fortíssimas influências orientais. Amaseffer - do hebreu Am Ha'Sefer (עם הספר) é um nome atribuído no Velho Testamento aos israelitas, e mais tarde, aos judeus. A banda foi formada com a idéia de uma trilogia histórica em mente, de contar a história do Velho Testamento, mais precisamente do Êxodo, desde o período de escravidão dos hebreus do antigo Egito até a entrada das 12 tribos de Israel na Terra Prometida de Canaã (hoje Israel). Esse primeiro álbum conta a história desses eventos começando com a escravidão dos hebreus, passa pelo nascimento de Moisés e vai até as 10 pragas do Egito.
Musicalmente, o álbum é excelente, criativo, e as músicas passam por muitas ambientações diferentes, e têm muito peso. O projeto conta com a participação de vários nomes já conhecidos no meio da cena metaleira mundial, como Angela Gossow (Arch Enemy), Kobi Farhi (Orphaned Land), Yotam Avni (Prey for Nothing). Álbum recomendadíssimo, especialmente para quem gosta de Orphaned Land!

Comentário: Aqui está uma banda que nos apresenta um som muito, mas muito diferente do que se vê por aí. Os caras conseguem misturar com perfeição a música tradicional de seu país e o Jazz americano. Resultado: um trabalho sublime!
Esse álbum é o único da banda, até o momento. O nome Eftekasat (افتكاسات) é uma gíria utilizada pelos jovens de Cairo, e quer dizer algo como "uma idéia que vem do nada", mas não no sentido literal, obviamente, mas que traduz a espontaneidade como surgiram suas músicas, e a inventividade deles. Excelente banda!
